Happy Birthday on November 16 to Barbara Payton in Heaven. Besides being a talented actress, Barbara was also a gourmet cook, an expert furniture reupholsterer and seamstress, a skilled home decorator, a generous party hostess, an avid reader, and a poet. In other words, she was a creative, intelligent, and worthwhile person. I'm Barbara's biographer, and it's very important to me that people know that.
Irish screenwriter and director Ciaran Creagh and I have co-written a film script on Barbara's life (titled Forever is Just A Weekend) that we hope brings a much deeper understanding of who she was. May Barbara soon have her moment in the sun.🤞

Barbara was so beautiful and talented; I wish that she had valued herself more.

@EYE_GOTCHA I agree with you. Barbara had acting talent and could have done many more films if she hadn't struggled with so many things.

Do you discuss her alcoholism, drug addiction, and her stormy life with five different husbands?
Why was she difficult with herself?

@@merccadoosis8847 Read John O'Dowd's ESSENTIAL two-volume biography of Barbara ("Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" and "A Life In Pictures"). They are ESSENTIAL reading. Once Barbara enters your heart, she is there TO STAY.

Two movies shown consecutively. The first one in BLACK & WHITE; the second identical movie COLORIZED. I preferred the COLORIZED version. Barbara Payton was a REAL HOT DISH !!! Lloyd Bridges looked real DAPPER in his younger years !!

Poor Barbara Payton. She really demeaned herself after her movie career. It was like watching a suicide in slow motion.

I'm well aware of the ultimately sad & tragic lives of Francis Farmer - Bela Lugosi - Veronica Lake - and a handful of others.....but Barbara's tale is somehow THE most-shattering of them all. John O'Dowd's two-volume biography of Barbara ("Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye" and "A Life In Pictures") is ESSENTIAL reading. SERIOUSLY
      Poor Barbara.....

Those pictures of her at LAPD Hollywood after her vice bust in '62, bring the phrase, "All washed up", all too vividly, to life...
